Book Title - "Going Dutch in Beijing" by Mark McCrum, published by Profile Books, ISBN 978-1-86197-862-2. With a little bit of humour this book studies typical cross cultural mistakes that can be made when relocating abroad. The book deals with cross cultural differences including hand signals (don't give the thumbs up sign before you read this!), dining etiquette, business greetings etc.
Book Title - "Raising Multilingual Children" by Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa, published by Bergin & Garvey, ISBN: 978-0897897501. Foreign languge acquisition for children, an excellent reference that will help your overseas relocation be successful for your children too!

Book Title - "Moving House. Usborne First Experiences" by Anna Civardi & Stephen Cartwright, ISBN: 978-0746066614. A great little book for younger children to read (or have read to them) so they can understand what to expect when moving house.
Book Title - "Guide to Commuterland: Finding a Home Within Reach of London (Sunday Telegraph)" by Caroline McGhie. Publisher: Aurum Press Ltd; Rev Ed edition (11 Oct 2004). ISBN-10: 1845130359, ISBN-13: 978-1845130350. A 352 page paperback giving useful information on towns and villages within approximately 30 minutes commuting time from London. If you are moving house to the UK to work in London this book will help you narrow down your home search criteria. NB - There is a new edition due out in April 2009.
Book Title - Buy, Sell and Move House ("Which?" Essential Guides) by Kate Faulner, Publisher: Which? Books; 4th Revised edition edition (22 Sep 2008), ISBN-10: 1844900568, ISBN-13: 978-1844900565. Contains information on how Home Information Packs work, how to value your home, arranging mortgages, viewing properties, understanding contracts, and explaining the relationship between vendors & agents.
